The Goodtime Artisan Americana™ features a 12” rim, which gives the banjo a stronger bass response and a much warmer tone. It is fitted with a set of back facing Planetary Geared Deering Classic banjo tuning pegs and inlaid black side dot neck position markers. It is an excellent open back banjo with a USA rock maple neck and is set up for playing all styles, it is lightweight and easy to handle and carry for travelling if needed. The sound from this banjo is incredible! The three ply solid violin maple rim is the same quality as found on pre-war Mastertone banjos.

The Gold Tone BG-150F brings the beautiful appearance of the great pre-WWII banjos to a new, lower price point. This banjo offers the player the lovely hearts-and-flowers fretboard inlay and the fully-bound neck and fourteen-inch resonator of the Gold Tone BG-250F combined with lightweight playing comfort (made possible by installing a quarter-inch brass-rod tone ring rather than the nearly three-pound bell brass ring in the BG-250F). The Deering Goodtime Leader ‘Maple Queen’ is an excellent open back banjo with a USA rock maple neck designed and set-up primarily for playing Old time, frailing and clawhammer styles. It is fitted with a Deering Fiberskyn head and a USA ‘No-Knot’ tailpiece to give you that gentle, full depth of tone that is favoured by Old Time artists. Also fitted to this brilliant Old Time banjo is a set of hand-crafted Eagle-Puretone strings with phosphor bronze wound 3rd and 4th strings.
