I chose this instrument because I love the Celtic knot aesthetic, it has a special meaning for me. I'm also realistic about what to expect from an instrument in this price bracket. However, whilst it generally plays well and has a good acoustic sound the plugged in sound and the technology providing it is pretty poor. The volume/tone controls are noisey the panel isn't in line with the body. There is a background hum and the jack socket nut was loose, fell off and I nearly lost the socket into the body, it has a very short thread. The battery has no secure housing and isn't easy to remove. The tuning pegs are particularly poor, a couple of them practically need pliers to move them, they'll have to be replaced. I'll be keeping it, but it will need some time and money spent on it.
