Note, in the slotted option, the string slot we cut is done by a 0.010!nut file and is shallow enough for the 5th string to neatly sit in. To make the string sit at the correct height for you banjo you may have to either drill your existing hole deeper or sand some bone off the bottom of the nut guide.
