Early Clifford Essex Paragon 19 Fret Tenor Banjo in original condition. A bit of fret wear on the first string but overall very good for such an old classic model. The wooden blocks inside the resonator have been removed by previous owners and there is some wear to the fingerboard at the last few frets. Also the resonator side walls at the top and botton have a slight gap. New white smooth top head and strings. We cannot find a serial number on this banjo, the neck is original so it may have been sanded off at some point. See below for details. 

Supplied in a hard shell case (clasps are a bit loose).

Fitted with double coordinating rods for fine neck and action adjustment. The maple neck has an adjustable truss rod.

The headstock and rosewood fingerboard are inlaid with attractive pearl inlays.

The Red Fox is one of the newest Stelling models, inspired by master banjoist Bill Emerson, the Red Fox is one of the best selling Stelling models.
