Also popular with the bass guitarist, the bass ukulele can be thought of as a travel bass or just another sound to your bow so to speak. Usually fitted with thick rubber strings and a loose feel under your fingers, the bass uke sound can be mellow like the sound of an upright bass or bright like the sound of a regular electric steel string bass.
