Bob Carlin has taught hundreds of people to play Old Time banjo, so it's only logical to make his signature banjo specs available to new players by way of a Cripple Creek (CC) version. Undeniably a world-beating value in a twelve-inch clawhammer banjo, the CC-Carlin12 has all the right stuff: a nut width of 1 and 3/8", a two-way truss rod in the maple neck, scooped black-bound fretboard with dot inlays and a three-ply maple rim.

The Gold Tone AC-12 is the latest addition to Gold Tones ever-more complete lineup of clawhammer banjos. The Gold Tone HM-100A “High Moon” old-time short scale banjo was designed to satisfy the modern clawhammer banjoist’s desire for a full-featured and wonderful-sounding banjo at a most affordable price.

Resembling the banjeaurines of old, this short scale (23.5") version of the AC-12 has seventeen frets and is tuned to A (a whole step higher that a standard banjo). The short, scooped neck is built just like its longer sibling and on the same pot assembly as the AC-12. Ideal for travel, the AC-12A is small, lightweight (just five pounds), and perfect for a long session of A or D tunes. Supplied with a gig bag.
