A special super deluxe, gold plated and engraved First Production Model of this banjo …Serial No. 0001 !!! was presented to our company owner Steve Noon, on March 20th 2010 at our Deering ‘Banjo 1000’ event where Eagle celebrated Eagle Music's worldwide sales of over 1000 Deering Banjos with Greg and Janet Deering and The Kruger Brothers.

We combined our love for the banjo and decades of experience to bring about the first model of our original new series we call the Eagle Series. The Eagle II banjo has exciting new engraved inlays designed by Greg Deering, a new decorative flange and a patent pending tone ring. The “Twenty-Ten”© Tone Ring was 3 years in development by Greg Deering, Jens Kruger and Philip Zanon. We have blazed new and exciting territory in tone ring technology to create a rich, powerful and traditional sound in the Eagle II banjo.
Greg Deering personally developed new manufacturing techniques that allow us to bring the Eagle II banjo to you with a top professional quality that you don’t normally find in banjos in this price range. This is in keeping with his motivation for starting the Deering Banjo Company in the first place, and that was to make superior quality banjos accessible to the average person as well as top professionals.
We know the Eagle will be a proud addition to any banjoists arsenal.
Our newest and most affordable professional grade resonator 5-string banjo. The Eagle II banjo is a whole new breed of banjo. It features the ground breaking, patent pending Twenty-Ten Tone Ring which is a completely original Deering design that is unlike any other traditional tone ring. It produces a high quality sound that is versatile for many styles of playing. While the sound is uniquely Eagle, it represents a refinement in the quality of banjo tone, something that allows the player to soar to new heights. It is perfect for the player who wants a professional quality banjo that he can use for playing many styles of music.

The Eagle II has a strong mid range tone with good bass and vibrant highs that is versatile for playing both Bluegrass and Clawhammer styles. This fine banjo holds its own when played in a hard driving bluegrass session, on stage or played gently in the comfort of your own home …the quality and clarity of tone is quite exceptional.
