Description
The Irish bouzouki is a unique member of the mandolin family with a scale length longer than the octave mandola. It has been adopted and adapted for Irish and other forms of European traditional music from the late 1960s onward.
The most common tunings used are GDAD and GDAE, other tunings including ADAD and CFAD can be used. The Gold Tone BZ-500 is set up with octave strings for the third and fourth courses and unison strings for the first and second courses. This solid spruce top model produces a dramatic traditional Irish tone, it is excellent for chord backing fiddle and other traditional instruments. Our precision workshop set up on this instrument ensures an easy playing action.
