A unique instrument and a blend of a few Northfield designs. This A-style mandolin borrows from our very popular Model M and Artist Series Mandolins to create a powerful response in an elegantly appointed instrument.

This mandolin has a handful of unique features that set it apart from Northfield's Standard Series including a master grade Italian spruce top, premium maple back, sides, and neck, spirit varnish finish, and Nugget tailpiece.

Choose between 3 colour option, dark cherry burst, light leather burst or Icelandic brown amber

Also 2 nut widths, standard 1 1/8" or a wide nut 1 3/16" version

The 2355 F-style Mandolin is a well equiped addition to Ozarks colourful new range. Featuring a solid spruce top and solid maple back and sides, the 2355 blends a time-honoured design with a contemporary finish and high quality fittings to match. 

This is a classic Gibson ‘A’ style copy mandolin, built from all solid timbers with a name behind it that represents quality and incredible value for money. It is the classic ‘F’ hole built with a solid spruce top and solid maple back and sides.

The Barnes & Mullins Piercy Mandolin has a striking look with tone to match. Featuring a blonde finish, solid spruce top with solid maple back and sides, the Piercy is beautifully finished in a traditional style with a scroll top. The BM700 was named in honour of the "Piercy" sisters to whom Bowley Barnes and Albert Mullins were married.

The Barnes & Mullin Salvino mandolin is a classic, F-style scroll top mandolin named after a recently uncovered 'Salvino' model from the turn of the 20th century.

Featuring a dark stained solid mahogany top and corresponding dark stained solid maple back and sides, the Salvino mandolin delivers a rich and warm tone with focus and clarity.

Complete with an ovangkol neck and fingerboard, nickel hardware and adjustable ebony bridge, the Salvino is the perfect model for beginners looking to discover the delights of the mandolin for the first time as well as established players wanting to add a great sounding F-style mandolin to their collection.

Commonly played by professional mandolin players, F-style mandolins feature an upper body scroll and scrolled headstock – making them aesthetically distinctive from A-style mandolins. Their more elaborate body and headstock design naturally uses more tonewood materials and requires a greater level of craftmanship.

There is little discernible difference in the sound produced compared to A-style mandolins. However, F-style mandolins are ever so slightly more resonant due to their larger body chamber and tonewood area are historically favoured for bluegrass music, as they are considered to have more 'cut-through' in a ensemble situation.

The Northfield 'Model M' A-Style Mandolin features an Engleman spruce top and a highly flamed maple back and sides. A simple design whilst still exuding real build quality and tone.

Choose between 2 finishes, dark leatherburst (full sunburst) or amber top/brown sides, back and neck.

Also choose from a standard nut width of 1 1/8" or a wide nut of 1/3/16"
