Solid body electric 6-string mandolin guitar for all styles of music. Humbucker pickup, quality sealed tuners, solid bass wood body, tone and volume controls. Includes gig bag.

The extended-range GME-5 is like having a mandolin and a mandola in one instrument. The added low C string allows you to play more complex chord voicings and your solo expeditions can take on more range and complexity. The solid alder body is equipped with a humbucker pickup (for lots of grunt with no feedback), a cast metal bridge with individual string adjustment for height and compensation, volume and tone controls, a multi-layer pickguard and a vintage cream gloss finish. The Barnes & Mullin Salvino mandolin is a classic, F-style scroll top mandolin named after a recently uncovered 'Salvino' model from the turn of the 20th century.

Commonly played by professional mandolin players, F-style mandolins feature an upper body scroll and scrolled headstock – making them aesthetically distinctive from A-style mandolins. Their more elaborate body and headstock design naturally uses more tonewood materials and requires a greater level of craftmanship.

There is little discernible difference in the sound produced compared to A-style mandolins. However, F-style mandolins are ever so slightly more resonant due to their larger body chamber and tonewood area are historically favoured for bluegrass music, as they are considered to have more 'cut-through' in a ensemble situation.

A beautiful, unique, handmade deep bodied flat top mandolin straight from talented luthier Joe Vercoe's workshop in Sheffield.

This hand made instrument features a French polished Englemann Spruce Top with a hard oil finished African Mahogany Back and Sides. The very comfortable and slightly wider neck was carved from an old Sapele church pew. It also features a beautiful hand carved Ebony bridge and Brass tailpiece.
