The Ultimate Classic Irish Tenor Banjo as played on the Irish scene by all the greats!
Early Clifford Essex Paragon 19 Fret Tenor Banjo in original condition. A bit of fret wear on the first string but overall very good for such an old classic model. The wooden blocks inside the resonator have been removed by previous owners and there is some wear to the fingerboard at the last few frets. Also the resonator side walls at the top and botton have a slight gap. New white smooth top head and strings. We cannot find a serial number on this banjo, the neck is original so it may have been sanded off at some point. See below for details.
Supplied in a hard shell case (clasps are a bit loose).

Resembling the banjeaurines of old, this short scale (23.5") version of the AC-12 has seventeen frets and is tuned to A (a whole step higher that a standard banjo). The short, scooped neck is built just like its longer sibling and on the same pot assembly as the AC-12. Ideal for travel, the AC-12A is small, lightweight (just five pounds), and perfect for a long session of A or D tunes. Supplied with a gig bag.

Handmade in North Carolina, USA the Rambler Special is similar to the Rambler Dobson but with a few upgrades. This banjo is available with an aged brass or copper rim. The softer metals give this banjo a little warmer tone while maintaining sustain and projection. Another upgrade to this banjo is the Pisgah Hawktail tailpiece. This allows for more downward pressure on the bridge so that there is better clarity on each note. All hardware made in USA by Pisgah.
