Handmade in North Carolina USA, this is Pisgahs version of the Vega Whyte Laydie banjo from the turn of the century. This blond bombshell features a scalloped "electric" tone ring also know as the Whyte Laydie tone ring and is made in house by hand and molded with exacting specifications from an original, making the tone unmistakable from nearly a century ago when it was first created.  The Pisgah Laydie presents amazing volume, punchiness, and great responsiveness for playability. Staying true to its ancestor, Pisgah are keeping this model in the "Whyte" with no stain.  The Pisgah Laydie is definitely a show stopper in any banjo setting!

This model is destined to join the Staghorn with its universal appeal and acceptance as a classic banjo design. The fancy curly maple used in this model is enhanced by the reddish stain. The Red Fox in the peghead and the abalone maple leaves in the fingerboard help to make this a very striking model.

Rare 1932 Gibson RB-2 5 String Banjo.

This banjo is in very good condition for it's age and is nearly all original.

Very minimal fret wear and hardly any wear to the screen printed inlays which can happen on these very old banjos.

Features a maple pot with a cast pot metal one piece flange, vellum head, Pearloid fingerboard and headstock design, original Grover pancake tuners and a friction 5th string tuning peg.

Includes full Eagle Music setup and service with new strings fitted.

Serial number 176-3.

The Vega 11 inch rim 'Old Tyme Wonder' open back banjo with 'scooped' neck and inlaid Vega 'Star' in the headstock. Crafted by Deering with a superb blend of today's technology and yesterday's classic tone. This is a light weight banjo that is made especially for musicians who want the mellower banjo sound and a lovely full tone.

It's worth noting that this is now a rare model to come by as Deering no longer manufacture the Old Tyme Wonder with an 11'' pot.

The Goodtime Artisan Americana™ features a 12” rim, which gives the banjo a stronger bass response and a much warmer tone. The new cherry version of the popular Vega Vintage Star features a quartersawn cherry neck and a 3-ply cherry rim. The cherry wood gives the banjo a distinctively classy reddish hue which will darken over time with a gorgeous patina. The beautiful aesthetics isn't the only thing the cherry wood brings to this banjo. It also gives the banjo a bit warmer tone than the standard maple version, while still maintaining plenty of brilliance.

The Deering Goodtime Leader Maple Prince has a higher specification than the standard Goodtime banjo. It is fitted with a set of back facing Planetary Geared Deering banjo tuning pegs and inlaid black side dot neck position markers. It is an excellent open back banjo with a USA rock maple neck and is set up for playing all styles, it is lightweight and easy to handle and carry for travelling if needed. The sound from this banjo is incredible! The three ply solid violin maple rim is the same quality as found on pre-war Mastertone banjos.
