Handmade to great standards in Leeds in the United Kingdom, this Teardrop mandolin from Oakwood has remarkable volume for such as small body. The tone is bright and clear, with a cutting edge that makes it ideal for sessions. A full sounding octave mandola from an excellent British luthier ...The Thomas Buchanan 'Flat Top' walnut octave mandola has a solid spruce soundboard with a neat inlaid soundhole rosette, solid walnut back and sides, ebony fingerboard with pearl dot markers and a mahogany neck. The rosewood pin bridge has a bone saddle for maximum transmission of sound. Buchanan octave mandolas are double strung as standard.
